Day 1 – Arrival in Shirdi
It was on the first day that I got to Shirdi. It is considered a holy city as it is where Sai Baba, a famous saint, lived and died. Of course, I had to check into my hotel upon arriving so that I could indeed be settled down before nightfall. And then later in the evening, there was an opportunity to go to the Sai Baba temple where everyone prayed for a peaceful night by participating in the evening “aarti”.
Day 2 – Explore the Sacred Sites of Shirdi
After visiting temples, see Dwarkamai, Chavadi, and Lendi Baug among other religious sites that are close to Sai Baba’s life. These places are sacred and have a very high sense of spirituality and calmness within their boundaries.
Day 3 – Excursion to Shani Shingnapur
On the second day, take a short drive to Shani Shingnapur which is famous for its temple dedicated to Lord Shani-the god of justice. You can witness this peculiar tradition of open houses without doors as it is a symbol of trust among the villagers that they have in Lord Shani’s safeguard.
Day 4 – Return to Shirdi for Evening Aarti
After visiting Shani Singapur, come back to Shirdi for a calm evening. Join in on the Sai Baba Temple’s aarti and bask in the holy energy. The rest of the evening can be spent shopping in local markets for spiritual souvenirs.
Day 5 – Departing Shirdi
On an enriching journey, say your final prayers at Sai Baba Temple before checking out. Leave Shirdi carrying all its blessings in your heart and spirit as well as enjoying some peace resulting from such a haven.
